At A.G.I.R, we believe that culture should not just be talked about... it should be experienced.
It was with this conviction that we imagined the immersive experience "Caen – Millennial Residence of Eternal Love," a virtual reality capsule designed to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of the city of Caen, through the intertwined perspectives of two iconic figures: William the Conqueror and Matilda of Flanders.
🎯 Objective: to bring heritage to life, make it accessible and emotional.
This creation transports the audience to the heart of the city's founding sites—Abbaye-aux-Hommes, Abbaye-aux-Dames, Château ducal—to tell not only a story, but a tale of love, power, memory, and identity.
A committed approach to a vibrant and popular culture
A.G.I.R is committed to creating immersive cultural experiences designed for all audiences: suitable for ages 8 and up, accessible to people with reduced mobility, and easy to deploy in all types of venues (events, schools, museums, galleries, media libraries, etc.).
Our ambition is clear:
To make virtual reality a tool for cultural and emotional transmission, capable of arousing curiosity, inspiring wonder, and strengthening the bond between audiences and their territory.
A 100% Norman creation, 100% tailor-made
This experience was entirely designed in Normandy, in connection with Caen's historical roots.
Script, visuals, narration: everything was conceived to combine the power of storytelling with technological innovation, in a short and impactful format (7 minutes).
What next?
The "Guillaume et Mathilde" experience is available to rent or purchase for any organization wishing to enrich its 2025 programming around the Millennium or the history of Normandy.
